John and Ted have crossed The Nullarbor

John and Ted have safely crossed the Nullarbor and arrived in Port Augusta last Monday and have moved onto Port Pirie. They are expecting to arrive in Adelaide near the end of this week. John has indicated that he and Ted are thin and brown, ie- no fat and tanned.

Our support Team of Terry and Lois White will leave the riders in Adelaide and return home to Bairnsdale to complete family and farming commitments.

The Rotary Club of Mitchell River is extremely appreciative of their magnificent contribution of Terry and Lois to the West Coast Bike Ride and they have played a vital role in its success.

Terry and Lois are expecting to arrive home on Monday 18th October. Val and Mike Crunden will take over as the support team and the Club is appreciative of their willingness to bring the John and Ted home.

John and Ted will arrive in Bairnsdale on Saturday 13th November and members of the Club and the community are being given the opportunity to ride from Sale to Bairnsdale or part of this final ride at the cost of $100.00. All donations to the "Help the Children Hear" and donations are tax deductible.

Donations have continued to happen from Rotary Clubs and the community. At the moment over $27,000.00 has been raised to "Help the Children Hear" through the Bionic Ear Institute.
